Is to make sure these results look great and MAKE users want to click on your website links! You might have the best looking site in the world, but if nobody actually visits it, well that’s a shame!
It’s like the cover of a book. People are more likely to buy books with great covers than those without. The same principle applies.
So make sure your website looks AMAZING in the search results.
There’s a nifty tool we use for this, so there’s no excuse to not do this properly!
Communicating With Robots
A search engine is like a robot. They think differently. Just try ask a robot how it’s feeling. You’d be surprised that they can’t answer it.
There are a few simple things you can do to make sure that a search engine understand what your article is about.
Let me give you a quick example.
I have an article and it has a picture in it, and the picture is labelled 001.jpg.
Tell me, what’s the picture about? You can’t tell.
All you can see is that it’s called 001.jpg.
Now, if I showed you 001.jpg alt=”Dog Jumping Over Chair”, do you have a better idea what it’s about? You’d guess it’s about a dog and a chair but probably a dog jumping over a chair. You’re not sure what type of dog, or what type of chair, but you have a much better idea now what it’s about.
It’s the same with search engines. By adding a few minor changes, you can get a MASSIVE difference.
How Do You Do This?
Easy. You spend years researching and learning about SEO and what search engines want. You learn all the tricks.
